Dr. Megan Torrey grew up overseas — in the United States and Panama — travelling with her family. Her childhood looked like helicopter flights into the jungle and, on one memorable occasion, a broken leg from jumping off a Mayan pyramid. Movement, adventure, and the human body have fascinated her for as long as she can remember.
Megan graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney in 2009, then promptly set out across the ocean to practice in Glasgow, Scotland, for two years — where she had plenty of adventures, learnt to love a cold frosty morning, and met her husband, Matt, also a chiropractor.
Returning to Australia in 2012, Megan worked in practices in Mackay and Brisbane before joining Matt at their practice in Caboolture South, Queensland, where together they cared for their community for close to 12 years.
First and foremost, Megan is a family chiropractor. That means she cares for everyone — babies and kids, pregnant mums, older adults, weekend warriors, desk jockeys, and everyone in between. Her techniques include Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC), Sacro Occipital Technique, and Diversified.
Megan has a strong interest in pregnancy care, babies, and breastfeeding support, having completed paediatric courses with Gen and Rosemary Keating, Dr Neil Davies, and Dr Jacey Pryjma.
More recently, Megan has completed further study in Women’s Health Mastery, and is passionate about supporting women through hormonal changes and every life stage — always alongside chiropractic care.
Outside of practice, you’ll find Megan at the beach or park with her husband Matt, their primary school-aged kids Hugo and Eleanor, and their dog Piper. She’s happiest with sand between her toes or camping under the stars in the bush.
Megan is honoured to be part of the team at The Chiropractic Works, caring for the Henley Beach community and continuing the beautiful care this practice is known for.
